Location shoot at Hayling Island

On Friday the 23rd we went down to Hayling Island in Pourtsmouth to start filming. We Went out at 11:30 on the beach to start filming the scenes that we had planned from our story board.  We started by looking though our story board  to see which shot we should start on and how we should go along doing so.
This is the beach in Hayling Island that we shooting our first scene in. We then started filming the first parts of  film following our storyboard.

We ended up doing one of the shots of our actor walking down the beach at least 10 times because we wanted to make sure that we could get it right.

This is a behind the scenes photo of us filming the close ups that we need to make the audience feel awkward because of all the close ups of our actors face, eye and wind blowing in the wind. We used a tripod to get these closeup shots because we wanted a still and steady shot.

We would always watch the clips back on the L.E.D screen on the camera being able to see if the actor is too far away or close and to see if things are in or out of focus.

Then when we were done filming all the clips at the beach we went back to the grandparents house and starting to film the sections in where Chester moves to his Grandparents because his parents have just passed away.  We tried out different shot types like one were i was sitting in the car and I filmed looking through but It was hard because there was a bar in the way which the camera kept wanting to focus on. So I decided to go inside the car boot itself so I can get the actor opening the boot and taking out his belongings.

We then started to film shots with the grandpa and him coming out of the car and then going into the  house.  We needed to do this shot a few times because most of the shots were out of focus or we would miss something that we didn't do in the clip before.  Then we entered the house with the grandpa saying 'Your room is upstairs on the left' which is our first sot

Transformers Age Of Extinction
Production
Series History -
-Transformers (2007)
- Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009)
- Transformers: Dark of the moon (2011)
- Transformers: Age of Extinction (2014)

Transformers Age Of Extinction was Directed by Michael bay, and produced by Don Murphy.

Age of Extinction is the tenth highest-grossing film world wild as well as the highest grossing film of 2014.

The production Budget was $210 million .

Transformers released an app on May 8 surrounding the film available for iOS and Android devices, allowing users to access exclusive material such as character biographies, images, and interviews with the stars.

Distribution and marketing

Age Of Extinction cost no more than 3 - 5
million to market to Chinese moviegoers a big contrast to the $100 million prints and advertising spent in North America.

Transformers has a website showing videos, photos and facts about the characters. They also show that there is an app available for download.

A website has said that ‘Iron Man 3,'” have catered to the Chinese market with local premieres, the casting of Chinese actors and even extra scenes shot specifically for that audience. But “Transformers” was clearly a joint effort from its Chinese and American producers from the start.

Transformers teamed up with Hasbro to be able to make Transformers Age Of Extinction toys for ages 5 +.  This is a good marketing technique to use because children will go and see the film and then they will want to play with the play as their favourite characters in the film meaning they will spend money in order to buy a Transformer toy.

Transformers was shown on  4,233 theatres all around the world. Released only in 3-D and IMAX 3-D, the sci-fi film accounted for approximately 57% of all screenings nationwide.  On 30th September 2014, the film was released on DVD, Blu-ray, in the USA and Canada, and 17th November in the UK. The film is also available to buy on iTunes at £9.99 for SD and £13.99 for HD.

Representation of age in E.R

The young boy is represented to be weak and venerable by the use of mese-en-scene because of all the tubes and the clothing that the young boy is wearing. He is also represented to be smaller and weak because of the high angle over the shoulder shot which is looking down at him in the bed, which makes him look like a young stereotypical boy.

However the boy is also presented in a counter stereotype manner with the use of mine-en-scene because the boy is completing sudoko which is normally for older age people. He is also a counter stereotype because of the language that he uses like " muscle biopsy" which young people wouldn't normally use and how the doctor is also asking questions towards the boy which shows that he knows  more than an actual doctor.

The sequence ends with the diegetic sound of the heart monitor which then speeds up as soon as the boy start to talk about his mother. This represents him again as vulnerable and dependent on grown ups. At this point they swap roles again because the doctor is consoling the younger boy.

The cross cutting from the hospital bed to the waiting room is an example of juxtapositioning.  The abrupt cut from the boy who has a life threatening disease but is not complaining to the young boy who is loud and screaming because he got bitten by a gerbil has the effect of making you feel more sorry for the original youth.

Old age is represented to be confused and weird in this clip as an old age w omen who is sitting in the waiting room just for the air. This is a stereotype of  old people because they are seen to be confused as this is shown in the waiting room when an old lady is asked why she is here and she replies with ' Im just hear for the fresh air'. This shows that she is weird and doesn't know what is happening because normally a Hospital isn't the nicest smelling place even when people who have injuries and diseases around you.
